More than once I have started a recipe that called for cream of [whatever] soup and gone to the cabinet only to find that I have none. Zip. Zilch. So, halfway through a recipe. The oven is already pre-heating. Three monsters are running/crawling around like wild animals. I am rarely run-to-town ready (unless it's a planned trip). What do I do?!
It has always been my understanding that as a small human trainer (parent) it is my responsibility to train (teach) my monsters (children) how to "adult." But with all of the varying and conflicting opinions out there on how to raise these small humans, how do you know how to raise a successful adult??!
Cloth diapers are becoming more and more popular. But is cloth diapering really worth it?
I think before we had kids, we took a lot of things for granted (uninterrupted showers, peeing alone, not having to plan your day around a small dictator's feeding, sleeping, and pooping schedule). The biggest one being self-care.
This pie crust is the best I have come across so far. It's flaky and delicious and I may or may not circle my kids' plates waiting for them to discard their crusts so I can gobble them up. Don't judge. It's that good and like the name, it's easy as pie. You should give it a go.
Mess. As parents, we try to avoid it though we know it's inevitable. We are raising monsters, I mean tiny humans after all. But messes can be a good thing.
Walking into the waiting room for the gremlin's four month well child exam. Looking for books at the library. Buzzing through the grocery with the baby strapped on to me and the two big monsters in tow. Sitting at the park. Just existing with my three offspring near me.
I love fall. The leaves change colors. The nights (and days) get cooler. It's sweatshirt season. And of course, pumpkin flavored everything! Yes. I am one of those nuts. I love pumpkin.
